FAQ rich results are gone: what should FAQ pages do now?
Why useful FAQ content still supports customers and search after Google stopped showing the rich result.
What changed?
Google stopped showing FAQ rich results in Search on May 7, 2026. Teams should no longer plan visibility or reporting around that search enhancement, even though the underlying FAQ page can remain useful.
Should you remove FAQs?
No. Clear answers reduce customer hesitation, support service pages and give search systems better context. The value comes from solving a real question and guiding the next step, not chasing an enhancement that no longer appears.
Update the page
Use questions collected from sales and support, remove duplicates, and link each answer to the most relevant service. Review search performance without relying on the retired FAQ report and measure assisted inquiries.
